Frank & Cheryl were warm, friendly, and very informative. After Frank finished checking us in, he escorted me up to my room, while telling me about the history of the hotel itself, which was quite interesting. They didn't hesitate if we needed anything. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable, with plenty of bed linens to keep you warm on what was a very cold night. The classic charm of the hotel and the shops around it will take you back in time to a much simpler day, and I often walked around with a smile on my face.

If you're looking for something different, this is your place. Completely nostalgic, like staying in your parents' friend's guest room, but with everything you expect: air conditioning, thoughtful accessories, mini fridge, tv, private bathroom, hair dryer, etc. And exceptionally, spotlessly clean! I've never stayed in a cleaner place anywhere. It's all old wallpaper and gorgeous quilts and eclectic furniture and decor, while still being incredibly comfortable and easy. I will definitely go out of my way to stay there again.

Frank, the owner, was great. He was very friendly and welcoming which made our stay more comfortable. It was great learning about the history of the building. If you appreciate historical buildings, you will love this place. The room was clean and comfortable. It felt like visiting grandma’s house, which I loved. The hotel is located within walking distance of the Fort Scott historical monument and several restaurants. Great stay overall. We plan to visit again.

If you plan to visit Fort Scott, staying here is a must! Frank and Cheryl are the most polite, kind and hospitable people. The hotel was clean, charming and holds much history in its walls. The location is also right in downtown which was perfect. The room was homey and the overall vibe of my stay was relaxed and at ease. Highly recommend staying here if you want an authentic and comfortable experience in Fort Scott!

I love the character and history associated with staying in this quaint place. Also, the owner, Frank, is so friendly and obviously enjoys having guests. He makes sure that you are comfortable. The location of the motel is right downtown making it the perfect place to enjoy Fort Scott’s adorable downtown shops, quaint restaurants, and the old fort. Also, it has easy access to Highway 54 and 69.
